My Medz is designed with privacy as a core principle. All data you enter into the application is stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your information.
Medication Information
When you use My Medz, you may choose to enter the following medication-related information:
- Medication name
- Dosage amount and unit
- Medical condition or purpose
- Scheduled times for taking medication
- Frequency (daily, weekly, as needed, etc.)
- Start and end dates
- Special instructions or notes
- Taken status (whether you've taken the medication)
- Timestamps of when medications were taken
Profile Information (Optional)
You may optionally choose to add profile information to personalize your experience:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile picture
Important: All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database and SharedPreferences. No data is transmitted to external servers. We have no access to your information.
2. How We Use Your Information
All information you provide is used solely within the My Medz application on your device to provide the following features:
- Medication Tracking and Scheduling: To display your medications and remind you of scheduled doses
- Daily Dashboard: To show your medications organized by time of day
- Calendar View: To provide a monthly view of your medication schedule and history
- History Tracking: To maintain a record of when you've taken your medications
- Profile Customization: To personalize your app experience if you choose to add profile information
Important: All processing happens locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your data with any third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
All your medication and profile data is stored locally on your device using:
- SQLite Database: For structured medication data, schedules, and history
- SharedPreferences: For app settings and user preferences
- Local File Storage: For profile images in the app's local directory
Security Measures
- No cloud storage or external servers are used
- Data is protected by your device's built-in security features
- If your device is encrypted (which is standard on modern devices), your app data is automatically encrypted
- Data remains on your device unless you choose to delete it
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual medications within the app
- Removing profile information from the app settings
- Uninstalling the app, which removes all associated data from your device
Important: Your health information never leaves your device. We have no access to your data.
4. Permissions We Request
My Medz requests the following permissions, all of which are optional and only used for profile picture functionality:
- Camera Permission: Used only if you choose to take a profile picture using your device's camera
- Photo Library Permission: Used only if you choose to select a profile picture from your device's photo gallery
- Storage Permission: Used only to save profile pictures locally on your device
Important: All permissions are optional and only used for profile picture functionality. Medication tracking does not require any permissions. You can use the full medication tracking features without granting any permissions.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties.
My Medz does not:
- Collect or transmit data to external servers
- Use analytics services or tracking tools
- Share data with advertising networks
- Integrate with third-party services that would access your data
- Use cloud storage or backup services
Important: Your data stays on your device, always.
6. Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data in My Medz:
- Add, Edit, or Delete Medications: You can manage your medication list at any time
- Delete Profile Information: You can remove or modify your profile information at any time
- Delete All Data: You can uninstall the app to remove all associated data from your device
- No Account Required: You can use the app without creating any account or providing personal information
- Export Your Data: Your data is stored in standard formats on your device, giving you direct access
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have immediate and complete control over it. There are no external accounts, servers, or services that need to be contacted to manage your data.
7. Children's Privacy
My Medz is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13. However, since we do not collect any personal information or require account creation, the app can be used by individuals of any age.
If a child under 13 uses this app, we recommend that parents or guardians supervise their use. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any information, there are no additional privacy concerns specific to children's use of the app.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Including a notice in the app if significant changes are made
- Posting the updated policy on our website

Legal Basis for Processing: Since all data processing occurs locally on your device and we do not process any personal data on external servers, My Medz operates without requiring a legal basis for processing under GDPR, as we are not processing personal data as a data controller.
